Know the wind before you sail. See how the forecasts of five global models change day by day, and whether they agree. New: iPhone widgets and Apple Watch.
Windtrack doesn't just show the forecast. For the date you choose, it tracks how the forecast changes over time, analyses it, compares it with past years and presents it as a clear report.
Other apps show only the latest forecast. You look weeks ahead, see "Saturday 25 knots, let's cancel", and Saturday arrives with a flat calm sea. Windtrack queries five global models four times a day for the point and time you choose, and never deletes an update. You see which way the forecast is drifting and whether the models are coming together. A narrowing spread between models is a far stronger sign of confidence than wind speed alone.

- Notifications: you are notified when the forecast for your point changes significantly; the commentary is prepared before the notification is sent, so it is waiting when you open it
- Offline access: even out of coverage, the latest forecasts, charts and commentary open; every item shows when it was fetched, so stale data never fools you
- Spatial pattern: how the wind behaves across the area, from four satellite points about 20 nautical miles north, south, east and west of your point
- Historical context: for points within POSEIDON coverage, a comparison with the same date window over the past five years — is this wind normal or unusual?
- High resolution: for points in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, the 5 km Greek POSEIDON model comes in three days before the target
- Observed: follow live measurements from observation stations to see whether the forecast held; the station's distance in miles is always shown
