New in this version: • Same egg as last time: tap the grey recycling symbol under the dial and Ovoid brings back the last egg's measurements or size, doneness, egg temperature and cooking method. The question mark next to it explains. • Alarms: the beeps and the alarm keep time with the numbers, and from iOS 26.1 the alarm also sounds with a Focus mode on. When the next egg goes in, two short beeps sound and stop by themselves. • If the media volume is at zero, the app tells you before you start. • The cooking method is chosen with two pans, Cold water and Boiling water. • Cold water: Ovoid remembers how long your hob takes to come to the boil. The first time, you tap when the water boils; after that the app works it out. You can name your hobs, for example Kitchen and Guest house. • The boiling point is calculated from the air pressure from the phone's barometer, and the introduction helps you set up storage, water and altitude. • The app is now available in 30 languages.
