WHO IS ACTIVE SURREY

Active Surrey is part of a national network of 43 Active Partnerships funded by Sport England, to enable people in Surrey to live healthier and happier lives by being active every day.
Use the Active Surrey App to register for a new event or stay in touch about an event you, your child and / or your colleague has already registered for.


THE SPECSAVERS SURREY YOUTH GAMES

Active Surrey runs events such as the annual Specsavers Surrey Youth Games, in which around 1000 children and young people aged 7-16 enjoy learning a new, fun, free activity, somewhere local to them, for 6-8 weeks after Easter.

Everyone is a beginner and starts from the same level, the coaches are kind, encouraging and friendly and it’s all about having fun and doing your best.
The activities range from Judo, Dance, Boxing, to Street Basketball, Boccia, and Tennis, to Girls Touch Rugby and Run-Bike-Row (a gym-based triathlon), depending on where your child lives and / or attends school.

At the end of 6-8 weeks local training, on the 15 June 2024, all the kids and teens from across the county come together for the Specsavers Surrey Youth Games Day, which takes place in Guildford. It’s held at Surrey Sports Park, and it’s fun, family day out, and a great opportunity for all the kids to showcase what they’ve learnt to their parents and friends.
There’s also a free ‘Family Fun Festival’ where parents and children of ages can all chill out, set up a base camp, and try out new activities such as climbing, archery and fencing as well as enjoying arts, crafts, and circus skills.
