No more cropping bird photos by hand. BirdFrame finds every bird in an Apple Photos album or a folder, including small, distant and half-hidden ones, and crops each one in the framing you choose. Thousands of photos in one go, at full resolution. Full resolution, nothing generated Every crop comes from your full-size original. Nothing is downscaled, and nothing is generated or added to your picture. Choose your framing Preview Tight, Balanced or Wide and pick a square or rectangular shape. One choice applies to the whole album or folder. New: Moments Photos taken seconds apart of the same scene are grouped into one moment, so a burst becomes a single card showing its clearest bird. Open a moment to see every bird in it. Moments sits beside the Crops and By Photo views. Works with Apple Photos Crop & Apply saves the crops in Photos as edits you can undo. Your originals stay available, and you can restore them at any time. Works with folders, including RAW Folders can hold JPEG, HEIC or camera RAW files, and a RAW+JPEG pair counts as one photo. Export Crops saves every bird as a new JPEG in a folder you choose. Your source files never change. Saved batches let you come back to your results later. Ready for eBird and iNaturalist Crops keep the photo’s date, camera and location. Tick For iNaturalist when you export to get tight crops named by date. You can turn location off in Settings to protect a nest site. Share a find Share Find makes a “Found it” card: the whole photo with your bird marked, plus a close-up. Share it or save a copy. Free to try Crop up to 50 photos per run, with unlimited runs. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks larger batches, with no subscription. Restore Purchase and Redeem Code are in Settings. A guided tour and searchable Help get you started. Everything stays on your Mac Finding and cropping birds happens on your Mac. BirdFrame doesn’t upload your photos. Apple services may need an internet connection for purchases or iCloud Photos downloads. Requires macOS 15 or later; fastest on Apple silicon. Folders: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF and camera RAW (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, ORF, RAF, RW2 and DNG).

Moments is a third view beside Crops and By Photo. By Photo is still the default. Everything from 1.2 is still here: RAW photos, RAW+JPEG counted as one photo, crops that keep their date and location, and one Export Crops button.
