- Switched from AAC to WAV/PCM format (16-bit, 16kHz, mono) for crash-safe recordings that survive unexpected app termination
- Bluetooth High Quality Recording on iOS 26+ for full-bandwidth audio without HFP compression, with automatic fallback on older devices
- Explicit Bluetooth HFP input selection for reliable microphone routing
Recording Protection
- Voice Isolation and Wide Spectrum mic mode detection: the app now monitors your microphone mode during recording and prompts you to switch back to Standard mode if a non-standard mode is detected
- Bluetooth mic-loss detection: distinguishes between a full Bluetooth disconnect and losing only the microphone input (HFP to A2DP switch), stopping the recording to prevent silent data loss
- Audio interruption handling: detects when phone calls or Siri interrupt the recording session, with automatic session recovery when you return to the app
- System alert suppression during recording to prevent incoming call ringtones from interrupting your session
