FreeD Tracker turns your iPhone or iPad into a real-time FreeD D1 motion tracker for virtual production and broadcast graphics.
The app measures position and orientation and sends standard FreeD UDP packets to your receiver - Unreal Engine, Vizrt, disguise, Screenberry, TouchDesigner, and other FreeD-compatible systems.
Key features • Live FreeD D1 over local network (Wi‑Fi or Personal Hotspot)
• Adjustable send rate, Camera ID, IP, and port
• On-screen Phone (native) and UDP Out values
• Set Zero origin, or Floor / Wall printed markers (25×25 cm with print control marks)
• Rig Offset and Pivot to floor for mount / nodal alignment
• Axis mapping (FreeD Native, Unreal, Unity, Custom) and UDP axis masks
• Hold Position / Hold Rotation for practical moves
• Orientation lock (Portrait or Landscape) and Screen Off mode
• Optional LiDAR enhancement on supported Pro devices
• World Map scenes to reload room geometry and origin between sessions
• 3D Preview to visually check the tracked point
• Diagnostics for UDP status, rates, and packet values
• Test Mode for simulated motion without sensors
Free & Pro
Free includes full tracking tools with a limited (3 minutes) UDP send time per Start session.
Pro unlocks unlimited UDP sessions and project save / load / export.
Requirements
A physical iPhone or iPad is required for production tracking. Good lighting and textured surroundings improve ARKit accuracy. Use a stable network path to your receiver whenever possible.
Privacy Tracking stays on your device and local network. No cloud tracking server. See Privacy Policy in Settings.
