Clearer subscription management: - Settings now has a Manage or Cancel Subscription button for everyone, with the steps to cancel written out underneath. - The subscription screen now says exactly what happens when the free trial ends: the plan you pick starts automatically and renews every year unless you cancel.

iPhone improvements to connecting people: - The quick-connect menu now shows a label on every button, so it is always clear what each one does. - Drawing emotional and relationship lines is smoother: the person you start from stays in view, people you can connect to are highlighted as you drag, and on-screen hints guide you through it. Plus stability and polish fixes throughout.

Fixes for problems some of you ran into: • A genogram could report itself as corrupted and offer only to move it to the trash. It no longer does, and files affected by this now open normally. • Hiding a person or a relationship dimmed the whole canvas — and anything you exported — to a quarter opacity. Fixed. • Large genograms could export as a solid black page. Fixed. • The Family Report and export screens showed the wrong product name. • The Adoptive Family template placed one relative in the wrong position.

iPhone support. The editor, dashboard and inspector were rebuilt for a phone rather than scaled down: a contextual bottom toolbar, a pull-up inspector that keeps the person you tapped in view, and a canvas that opens fitted to your family. Also in this release: • 37 new templates — clinical patterns, family structures, cultural systems and historical families (48 in total) • The relationship key now matches the canvas exactly; several symbols and line styles were corrected • Fixed the age shown at death, and an age you enter yourself is now always the one shown • Dates follow your region, with a Settings option to choose the order yourself • Added a name order setting • Fixed a bug that stopped the Mac app from recognising an active subscription • Your subscription keeps working when the App Store can't be reached, instead of locking you out • Restore Purchases is now in Settings and tells you what it found • Fixed printing on Mac

• Fixed a bug where exporting a large genogram to PDF or print-quality PNG produced a solid black page. Large family trees now export correctly, at the highest resolution your device can render.
