Halvane targets regular dot and line patterns in still images with precise, paired frequency selections. Import a scan or printed-image photograph, inspect the result, and export real PNGs with the settings you used.
SELECT THE PATTERN
Choose PNG, JPEG or HEIC from Files. Open the source frequency map and tap isolated bright peaks, or use Suggest points as a starting point. Each selection adds its conjugate mirror automatically. Up to eight paired selections; the broad-tone region at the center is protected. Adjust removal strength and selection width, then check the picture for softened details or ringing.
COMPARE THE ACTUAL PIXELS
Drag the divider across source and result, view the result alone, or open a center crop for 4× inspection. iPad provides a broad comparison beside the frequency map and controls. The preview and exported cleaned image use the same processor.
KEEP REPEATABLE WORK
Working copies and settings save locally. Rename, reopen and remove up to 20 projects. Save up to 20 named treatments per project, including selected pairs, strength and width. Undo keeps the last 20 adjustment changes in the current session. Normal installs start empty; an optional original river-print example is generated on device with two known pattern pairs preselected. Your own imports begin with no selections.
EXPORT USEFUL FILES
Share a ZIP containing Cleaned.png, Comparison.png, Spectrum.png, Settings.json and Readme.txt. The comparison places the working source beside the same cleaned result; the spectrum is the source frequency map before removal. Settings record dimensions, paired selections and saved treatments. PNGs are opaque sRGB, and transparency is flattened to white on import.
One upfront purchase. No subscription, in-app purchases, account, ads, analytics, tracking, cloud sync or developer-server upload.
Single still images only, from 32 pixels per side, up to 30 MB and 50 million source pixels. Working copies are downsampled to a 2048-pixel longest side. Up to 400 MB of local working-library storage. Keep source originals separately: packages contain working results and settings, not original files, source metadata or editable project backups.
Halvane is a targeted periodic-pattern tool. It does not offer general AI restoration, calibrated printing, RAW/PDF/video processing or batch conversion, and cannot guarantee removal of every moiré, halftone or grain pattern. Frequency removal can blur useful detail; inspect each output before use. Use images you have permission to process and share.
