This is the first time I’ve been impressed enough to review an app. Combined with the chrome extension, this app and the language learning platform are hands down the greatest way to learn a language. I can’t wait until they expand the number of supported languages. If you are learning Japanese or Chinese, you owe it to yourself to jump in now. Cons: there are potential memory leaks or optimization issues at the time I’m writing this for iOS, which can lead to over heating and slowdown during app use after 10-20 minutes but I’ve been told this is being actively worked out.

This is only the second review I’ve left on the App Store, and it’s going to be brief.I love Korean comics, but Kakao Webtoon stopped translating into Chinese. My choices were to read in Korean or give up on comics. I tried to read in Korean. I couldn’t do it. It sucked and I was bummed out.Then I started using Migaku.With OCR and Migaku’s “tap a word to see a dictionary definition” feature, I can now read my webtoons in Korean.If you think you’re ready to start tying to consume native content in the language you’re learning, try Migaku—it’s worth it.

- Podcasts: fixed subtitle generation failing for some podcasts.
- Anki: fixed decks importing incompletely after an app upgrade.
- Reader: fixed oversized line spacing and inconsistent line heights.
- Notifications: study reminders are now enabled — you'll be asked to allow them after your first study session.
- Dictionary: removed example sentences, and fixed the popup covering the word you tapped.
- Account: subscription status now updates when returning to the app.
