This new update brings you Calendar of astronomy events for 2016, with automatic alerts for global events, ISS passes and iridium flares.
Star Walk now supports native resolution of iPad Pro. We have also fixed iPhone 6s/6s+ object selection bug and few other bugs connected with stable work of the app.

Star Walk on Apple Watch works together with your iPhone — you can schedule an alert on any device and it will appear on your Apple Watch just in the right time.

1) It is likely that ISON is not going to be the comet of the century. Nevertheless, we decided not to remove it from the app.
2) You can now turn on Picture caching in the Star Walk Settings. When caching is ON it will download the content only once and store it on your device. However when caching is OFF it will save you some space on your device.
3) Minor adjustments in texts and tables in Info to make them more readable.
4) Chinese localization improved.

I think I might have made a couple mistakes in the code when I digressed in careless dreaming about distant galaxies. Ah, Andromeda Galaxy... In any case, if your app is behaving funny, feel free to download the update.

My dearest Stargazer,
It's been awhile since we’ve talked, but I am happy to catch a moment and thank you for your letter. It was really kind of you to let me know that you are there and that you care. It almost made me feel like I was Santa in my own little way, making stargazing wishes come true. After careful consideration, I decided to fulfill the following wishes:
- Ultimate Calendar of the most important stargazing delights, it will tell you what’s up and even set an alarm
- Comet tracking (Halley, ISON, PANSTARRS, and Lemmon)
- Iridium flares
- Constellation artwork on/off
- Significant reduction in size
I know it's not much, but I'm hoping you will accept this as a small token of my gratitude and belief in future friendship. I have a lot more work to do, so I guess I better go get to it. And I am always happy to chat on Facebook and Twitter!
