Thank you for all the feedback on the new design - we read it all, and it helps shape the product. In this release, we’re primarily focusing on improving the layout on larger devices, so you can see more content without scrolling. We’ve also added back the option to view your car from rear angles - just tap the car until you see the view you prefer.

Version 7.0 brings a refreshed design to the Volvo Cars App. The cleaner, bolder layout makes it easier to check car status information at-a-glance, with more precise and actionable views for climate and tire pressure. The more vivid color palette, combined with tone-on-tone color matching, extends the look and feel of your car to the App.

We’ve made editing your controls smoother and more intuitive. You can now drag controls directly without needing to long‑press first, making it quicker and easier to adjust your controls.

For EX90 and ES90, you can now see additional charging statuses when charging during a trip, showing how long you need to charge before you can continue your journey and when you’re ready to get back on the road. You’ll also find a detailed lights view with an overview of your car’s lights and notifications if a light fault is detected. We’ve also added the option to override system unit settings from App Settings, available for all Volvo Cars app users.

We’ve made a number of improvements to enhance your overall experience. If you haven’t tried it yet, you can tag trips in seconds by swiping and selecting a tag.

We’ve made it easier to tag trips by simply swiping a trip and selecting the tag you want to add. In addition, Control Center widgets are now available for locking and unlocking your car, giving you quick access without opening the app.

We’ve added clearer guidance explaining how your car’s location is shown, including indicators that show whether the position is current or may be out of date. In addition, EX90 users can now override their charging schedule to start charging immediately without affecting their regular charging settings.

You will now receive a notification when charging reaches your target battery level, so you know when charging is complete without having to keep an eye on the progress.

On iOS 26, the app now uses Liquid Glass with an updated visual appearance, along with general improvements and bug fixes.

You can now tap the car image on the Home screen to spin your Volvo to a different angle and pick the view you like best - so your Home screen always looks just the way you want it. We’ve also enhanced the maintenance view to make it more useful. And for our Plug-in Hybrid drivers: we’ve heard your feedback. The Home screen now displays your battery range, fuel range, and total range much more clearly than before.
