I’m extremely disappointed with Depop’s currency system. I’m based in the US, but my first three listings were somehow set to TWD (Taiwanese dollars) instead of USD.The worst part is that the public listing pages only showed prices like “$75” and “$90” without clearly indicating that they were in TWD. I had no idea my items were listed in the wrong currency until they sold.I ended up selling valuable items worth $75 and $90 for approximately $2–3 each. Who would intentionally sell expensive items for that little?Even after I changed my currency settings to USD, my existing listings remained in TWD without any clear warning.I’ve also seen other US sellers reporting similar issues, so this may not be an isolated problem.This is a serious flaw in the platform’s design. Even if I never get my money back, Depop needs to fix this system. Currency labels should be clearly displayed, and sellers should be warned when their listings use a different currency.Sellers should not have to lose money because of confusing currency settings. Depop needs to take responsibility and protect its users.
