Long recordings cannot be trimmed

I had to record a super long message. I’ve been trying over and over again to trim the message since it is too long to be sent thru email or any type of apps. I don’t know what is wrong but it’s a real hassle now that I’ve been dealing with it for like 3 days since I’ve made the recording...
