This update is about seeing your plan on the map. The bed you have chosen now shows where it belongs. Your booked accommodation appears on the map with a colored dot: green when it is confirmed, amber when you have asked, red when you have picked it but not booked yet. Favorites you have saved sit alongside it in gray. Once you have chosen where to sleep in a town, the other options there fade back, and so does every town you are not stopping in. What stands out is your own walk. Every accommodation now tells you where it actually is: how far from the Camino, which side of the trail it sits on and in which direction, and how far from the center of town, before or after it as you walk. Also fixed: importing an itinerary from the website no longer clears the accommodation you had chosen on your other routes. Buen Camino.

This update is about finding things faster. Search has arrived. Tap the magnifying glass on the guide or the map and jump straight to any town or albergue on the route. Measure distances with your finger. Press and hold any stop on the list, then drag up or down. The distance to wherever your finger lands appears as you go, following the route you have selected. If your itinerary has dates, the map now opens on today's stage. Tapping the stage name brings the view back to that day's walk whenever you wander off exploring. Elevation figures are now properly smoothed. Climbs read like the guidebooks instead of overshooting, and stage difficulty and walking times are truer for it. The scissor filter learned a new trick. Alongside trimming the list from your location, it can now trim to today's stage when your itinerary has dates: tap it to cycle between the two. And it no longer hides the town you are sleeping in. Also fixed: itineraries imported from the website now carry your chosen accommodation for each stop, the favorites filter shows your places right away, and a long press no longer opens a place by accident. Fly your Camino before you walk it. The new Flyover screen gives you a cinematic 3D preview of every stage in your itinerary, and Explore mode lets you roam the whole route in 3D. The dashboard is now yours to arrange — press and hold any card to move it. Also includes the latest albergue updates from the trail.

You can now share your Camino with other pilgrims — send your itinerary and notes by QR code or file, and import theirs just as easily. You can also back up your plan and notes to a file, so they're safe if you change phones. Thanks for walking with Wise Pilgrim. Buen Camino!

A big update this time around. New on the map: a 6th style — 3D — to help you get your bearings in the bigger cities. And every map style now responds to a two-finger tilt, so you can lean the map back and look off into the distance to see what's ahead. If you plan with the itinerary, there's a lot here for you: - Dates are now supported, including multi-night stays in the same town. - The stage banners at the start and end of each day tell you far more now. - Notes you add in the online planner come along for the ride — they import straight into the app. - City pages now show what you've booked, whether it's confirmed, and how you booked it. - The map can walk you through your itinerary one stage at a time. And the route page handles those long lists better — it trims itself at your starting point, with an easy tap to bring the earlier places back whenever you want them.

This release brings the map to life. Tap the new Layers button for points of interest — churches, monuments and castles from Wikipedia, plus drinking fountains, viewpoints, ruins, picnic areas and pharmacies along your route, each with its own info card. I've redrawn every map pin for a cleaner look, pilgrim comments now appear in your language wherever I have a translation, and the map no longer snaps back to your location while you look ahead. New: Notes. Leave yourself a note on any town, albergue, or stop on the route, or drop a pin on the map — water, viewpoints, photo spots, places you want to return to. They gather on one page in order along the Camino, ready to search and export, and stay private on your phone. Heads-up for early June: several Xunta (regional) albergues close for a single day each between 1–12 June for maintenance. Big update for the start of Summer. As more and more albergues are adopting rest days of their own, I have improved the notice that appears. It will not warn you if the albergue is closed today or tomorrow.

Last Winter update. Minor changes to content, only a few albergues have changed critical information. Minor bug fixes: outgoing url links have been fixed, and the "WhatsApp Helper" works again!

The first major update of the year, this version includes updated pricing and opening seasons. Under the hood are several performance changes, with a thorough rewrite of the code to make sure that all devices are working properly. AND it introduces a new feature which allows pilgrims to inform 'El Sabio, the Wise Pilgrim Bot' about the status of albergues, so you can help your fellow pilgrims to know what albergues are full.
