This update includes user experience improvements in 5 areas of frequently used functionality. Keyboard shortcuts for tools, common functions and editing: - Shortcuts for all the drawing tools. - Standard editing shortcuts for Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Undo, Redo, Select/Unselect All, Shift Select etc. - Shortcuts for File operations, Save, Close, Export, Library. - Shortcuts for Board settings, Grid, Snap, Rulers, Zoom options. - Shortcuts for Toolbox menu panels, Tools, Properties, Board, Layers and Settings. - Arrow keys for moving selected objects. Press and hold the Command button to see all the available keyboard shortcuts. Improvements to export and sharing: - New share option to export and share straightaway. - Save exported files to a folder location locally or on iCloud. Midpoint offset handles for resizing sides: - Just like in the Mac version, you now have midpoint resize handles along with the corner handles. Measurements display next to shape during editing: - Displays context measurements for location, size, length and angle and rotation. - The messages can be enabled or disabled in Toolbox -> Settings -> Context Measurements setting. Tool action notifications: - Tool actions messages displayed briefly on the top of the screen. - The notifications can be enabled or disabled in Design Options -> Info -> Help -> Context Help Messages setting. Zoom presets and percentage display: - Zoom percentage display visible during pinch zooming. - Zoom +/- buttons to be based on standard set of zoom presets. New connector tool, iOS 13 update. A new connector tool for easily creating flow charts and other connected diagrams: - Multiple connection types, diagonal, side to side, top to bottom etc. - Connector type can be selected by pressing and holding the connector tool button. - Connections are automatically redrawn on moving the shapes. - Fully integrated with other functions and export formats. Text entry for closed shapes: - Enter text directly into any closed shape like rectangle, ellipse etc. - You no longer need to create text objects separately for text on shapes. - Especially useful when creating flow diagrams. Other fixes & enhancements: - Fixed file menu to show full screen in expanded mode on iPhone XR. - Fixed crash on opening design files with missing fonts created in XDesign on macOS. - Updated automatic sync with design file open on multiple devices and XDesign for macOS. Some nice and useful UI enhancements, new features and fixes to celebrate iDesign Release 2.0 Adaptable size Toolbox menu + Titlebar - Toolbox menu can now be expanded on the fly to view more menu content like layers and design lists. - Toolbox title bar shows current design location (iCloud/Local) and displays the design name. - Size of text edit box in text edit panel expands when toolbox size is maximised. Moveable toolbox which can stay open - Toolbox can now be pinned to stay open and also can be moved anywhere on screen, especially useful for devices with larger screens like the iPad Pro. New RoundedRect Tool - Create rounded rectangles easily with live control handles to change roundness for any selected corner or all corners together. - Change X and Y radius for full control on the rounded corners. - All parameters can be changed using onscreen handles or values entered by keyboard. New Select+ selection tool - Add shapes to current selection or remove from current selection. Added Grid and Snap quick access tools to Edit Toolbar for easy access to enable/disable grid and snap. Bug Fixes - Fixed occasional crash when design file is on iCloud and opened on multiple devices. - Enabled pinch zoom and panning during Edit mode without the need of explicitly switching between Panning/Scrolling mode and Edit mode. - Pan/Scroll mode is set to Off as default. - Fixed undo not working in certain cases when you accidentally move shapes using pinch zoom in edit mode. - Fixed entry fields within scrollable menu panels shifting up and out of view when On-screen keyboard is shown. - Fixed text entry in text edit panel to be applied even when the menu panel is dismissed without pressing the Done button. - Fixed text entry to work with external bluetooth keyboards.
