Over the years, Pune has experienced a rapid increase in population and vehicular traffic. The city's expanding infrastructure struggles to keep up with the rise in vehicles and traffic rule violations, leading to frequent congestion. To tackle these issues, there's a pressing need for a dedicated traffic app that enables seamless communication between Pune's citizens and traffic authorities. Initially, the Pune Traffic app plans to include the following functionalities: Reporting Violations: Enable citizens to easily report traffic violations, such as: No Parking Driving on the footpath Heavy vehicles no entry Talking on a mobile while driving Triple seat Tinted glasses Fancy number plate Driving in the wrong way / No entry Reporting Incidents Causing Traffic Jams: Enable citizens to report incidents causing traffic jams, such as: Accidents Vehicle breakdowns Potholes Traffic jams Oil spills Water logging Tree falls Abandoned vehicles Alerts: Real-time traffic alerts within 3 km of the user's live location. E-Challan Management: Allow users to view and pay e-challans for their vehicles or raise grievances against e-challans. Information on Traffic Rules and Regulations: Provide details about traffic rules and regulations. Parking Locations: Information on parking locations managed by the Pune Municipal Corporation. This update introduces a modern look and smoother navigation for the PTP App. The bottom tab bar has been replaced with a convenient three-dot menu at the top, providing quick access to Profile, Contact Us, and Logout. A new Quick Reporting option on the Dashboard allows faster image and video uploads for violations, with video support now available for Rash Driving and Modified Silencer reports. The Contact Us section has also been enhanced with updated icons and a WhatsApp number for easier communication.
