Indoor routes can be difficult to remember, especially inside unfamiliar buildings where traditional maps offer little help. A turn that seemed obvious on the way in can be easy to miss when it is time to return.
Start Navigating lets you record an indoor walking route as you travel it, then open the saved route later for spoken guidance. Save the path once, add useful named spots along the way, and return to it whenever you need it.

- Shared Routes Beta
Browse routes shared by other users and add a separate copy to your personal route collection. Shared routes are created by users, so always confirm that a route makes sense for your surroundings.
- Core Guidance Without Internet
Record and follow your personal routes without an internet connection. Shared Routes Beta and iCloud sync require a connection.

Start Navigating helps you retrace routes you have already walked and recorded. It cannot detect obstacles, stairs, drop offs, doors, furniture that has moved, or other conditions that may have changed.
Continue using your usual navigation tools, mobility skills, and awareness. Start Navigating is designed to work alongside them, not replace them. If something feels wrong or you become disoriented, stop and check your surroundings.
