TBSS is a scoring system to predict the need for Massive Transfusion in patients after major trauma. The TBSS was presented at the American Heart Association Resuscitation Science Symposium 2012 in Los Angeles and 2013 in Dallas. TBSS was developed using retrospective data, and there are no prospective studies to demonstrate the validity of TBSS. Therefore, medical decisions should not be based solely on results provided by this score. The first paper about TBSS is now published in the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery.
