YRT On-Request is a reimagined way to get around York Region — a ridesharing service that’s smart, easy, affordable, and green. You can book a ride between your home and the closest YRT bus stop or preselected location in your service area. With a few taps, book an On-Request ride in the app and our technology will pair you with the closest vehicle to bring you to your location. How it works: - Book a ride on your phone - Get picked up at your curb - Save money by paying with PRESTO, YRT Pay App or Transit App - Get dropped off at your chosen location within the service area or the closest bus stop where you can use your two-hour transfer on other YRT routes What we’re about: CONVENIENCE Don’t live close to a transit stop? No problem. We can pick you up and get you connected to local transit in your area, all in one fare. AFFORDABLE. Discounted YRT fares are offered through the PRESTO card, YRT Pay App or Transit App. You can use your transfer on any YRT route for two hours. SUSTAINABLE. Public transit reduces the number of vehicles on the roads, bringing down congestion and CO2 emissions.
