It’s secure
You can use Touch ID or Face ID to log in, or authorise your transactions through M-Pesa app. The M-Pesa 4 digit PIN can as well be used!
This is the only official and authorised App for accessing your M-Pesa account in Tanzania (GSMA Mobile Money certified). Vodacom Tanzania cautions customers against downloading or attempting to use of any other App that purports to offer easy access to M-Pesa.

The New M-Pesa App Upgrade.
This new upgrade of the M-Pesa app is more delightful. Starting from the name change “My M-Pesa” and the new services that has been added that is M-Pesa MasterCard service. As for me I usually use it and it’s a life saver service. A little testimony of M-Pesa MasterCard service. Back in 2020, around March when Corona started to rise up. My CRDB bank card did expire from February and was very in need of a credit card in order to do some purchases of goods from Online. So after a long struggle of asking different banks if they could issue me an immediate credit card as my bank CRDB failed to issue it for over a month. That’s when a friend of mine did remind me of a service known as “M-Pesa MasterCard” that could help me with me do some online transactions and could be issued an immediate credit card within “1 MINUTE” after inquiring it. So long story short, M-Pesa came through and was able to do resolve my problem and until to date I am still using and loving the service. I hope this does ended up to inspire others to use this service.

I like it, but...
I love this app alot, been using it for a long while now. I think it needs some improvements or additions of these features
- paying to LIPA number of other networks
- working without internet (the say without data bundle it works but it's a lie unfortunately , even if you have a vodacom line inserted)
- the gepg control number settings (it requires a rounded up number and when you input a different number or exact figure, it fails to pay.)
