Glitched and useless
DarkAlexusGTX
Samsung keeps pushing trendy buzzwords like “smart”, “AI”, “Ecosystem” everywhere, but none of them make their SmartThings contraption work as intended. I have a number of gadgets connected to this so-called “smart infrastructure” and guess what? It’s absolutely unpredictable, glitched and mostly useless. A vivid example: I’m basically sitting near my Freestyle Gen 2 projector (I’ve connected it to my Samsung account and authorized in SmartThings app) but I can’t control it via Remote Control and the app keeps promoting that I’m not connected to the network (hilarious, since I’m watching MEGOGO streaming service via wi-fi 7 router with gigabit internet) and fails the diagnostic tool every time I launch it. Same goes to my two TVs and Premiere 5 projector in the living room. I also have my old Galaxy S24 Ultra and the app keeps glitching there like a champ too. Well, Samsung, if you still don’t know how to create your own ecosystem, go ask Apple and stop messing around with your customers.
Worst Smart Home Experience I’ve Ever Used
Алекс UA
I’ve been meaning to write a review for this app for a long time. At the moment, this is the glitchiest smart home system I have, considering I manage 10 to 15 smart homes. First, the software remote, the one on the phone, is very inconvenient: you can’t increase or decrease brightness. Second, the automation system works incorrectly: you can’t set up a proper brightness adjustment system. Third, integration with other smart homes (Home Assistant, etc.) drops out after updates. Fourth, I really try to avoid going into this smart home system; it doesn’t provide any useful information, except to see how many hours the TV has been on. Fifth, to check how much power the washing machine or dryer uses, you really have to make an effort to figure it out. The interface is very inconvenient. This is the worst smart home system I have ever used.
Not working! Deal breaker! Can’t use device!

I really like a quality of my samsung robot vacuum. I actually have 3 of them. But this app iss a technical disaster. It’s all done in wrong way.. in terms if design(UI and technically, it’s not native app) and how it works overall. I know it’s too general comment, but I just don’t want to go into bugs details, so you may think - if we fix those bugs, then user will be satisfied. No. Only one thing I can see, is to create a brand new app from scratch. This way of connecting via wi-fi is very awkward, I need just Bluetooth for sure. It’s very slow, not working, showing wrong status, glitchy and so on.. all this because it’s via wi-fi and server. Right now I can’t connect to my Samsung vacuum at all! It’s not working and this is like already 3rd time happening. —— Go to Wi-Fi in your iPhone settings, then select the network that starts with [robot vacuum], [vacuum], [vacuum]_E3 Password: After connecting, return to this screen - returning and nothing happened! Tried 5 times already! App is a full crap! Returned my device! Will not buy Samsung vacuums anymore, because of this app!But I hope you can develop fully new app from scratch for iOS and using native SwiftUI tools!Never again Samsung.
SmartThings is getting even better.
