Easy Contraction Timer opens again on iOS 27. The previous version could close straight away on iPhones running iOS 27; this update fixes that. Your contractions and settings are all still there. Sorry for the trouble, and good luck with the big day!

While a contraction is running, Easy Contraction Timer now shows it on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island: a live timer, the rest before it and your average interval, without unlocking your phone. - New: the contraction you are timing appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island - When your contractions are less than five minutes apart, the card turns amber, so you can see it may be time to call your midwife - The card starts the moment you start a contraction and ends when you stop it, including when you start it on your Apple Watch - Fixed: the hospital notification could stay silent if an earlier contraction was never stopped, for example when the app closed mid-contraction - Fresh artwork for our other Easy Apps, which help you and your partner track feedings, diapers and sleep once your baby arrives

The Apple Watch app has a fresh new look. A large dial shows the time since your last contraction, with your average interval inside it, and a strip below shows the rhythm of your recent contractions at a glance. The screen turns red while a contraction is running. When your contractions are less than five minutes apart, the watch turns amber and taps your wrist once, so you know it may be time to call your midwife. It follows the Hospital notification setting in the app. If your watch can't reach your iPhone, it now says so clearly and shows when the numbers were last updated. The history shows the rest between contractions, and the contraction that's still running appears in the list too, ready to rate. Fewer pop-ups on first launch: the app now explains what notifications are for and only asks for permission if you want them. You can turn them on or off anytime in Settings. Once your baby arrives, our other Easy Apps help you and your partner keep track of feedings and diapers together. You'll find them in Settings and in the menu. Also: the link in shared summaries works again, plus a few smaller fixes.

The Apple Watch app has been rebuilt. It is now one screen you scroll: the timer fills the top, and your finished contractions scroll up underneath it — no more swiping sideways to find them. You can also rate intensity from your wrist. Tap any contraction in the list and pick mild, moderate or strong. Because you can do it afterwards, stopping a contraction on the watch no longer interrupts you on your phone to ask. And the watch app now speaks your language, in all eight the app supports. This release also adds French and Italian to the App Store listing.
