Very disappointed — the basic plan suddenly became unusable

I have been using Captions for a while and I really liked the app before. It was convenient, fast, and worked well for editing videos. However, after the introduction of the new pricing plan, the basic plan suddenly started to glitch constantly. Editing has become extremely difficult — the app freezes, features stop working, and it’s almost impossible to work normally.It honestly feels like this is being done intentionally to push users to upgrade to the new plan, which is now almost twice as expensive. This is very disappointing and feels unfair to loyal users who were happy with the previous plan.I understand that companies update their pricing, but making the existing plan unstable is not the right way to do it. I hope the developers will fix these issues and treat their users more fairly.

I like the program, especially its integrated AI, also the text recognition works well in any language. However, there are some critical issues that make me stop using it.Firstly, it’s impossible to upload a custom font, and most of the available ones don’t support Cyrillic.Secondly, word corrections often aren’t saved, or the program automatically duplicates the previous phrase, so I have to edit it again — which takes extra time.

The editing is absolutely terrible. It’s advertised as a great feature, but I paid $40 for a completely botched edit that can't be adapted at all. It doesn’t recognize the content properly. Maybe it works well for English, but for languages like Ukrainian or Russian, it creates subtitles that don't match the actual content, with misspelled words. The cuts are also poorly done. It's a very bad app for video editing. If you're considering getting it for this purpose, definitely don't. It's just a waste of money on a useless feature
