Your monobank statement, turned into answers.
The bank shows what you spent. Family Expenses Insights shows what to do about it: which subscriptions got more expensive, where spending broke your own usual pattern, and how much you can spend per day to stay within a normal month.
WHAT YOU WILL SEE
• How much is on your cards and where it goes — by month, quarter, year
• A forecast: what will be charged in the coming days, and how much
• Subscriptions you forgot about, and ones that quietly got pricier
• Spending control: limits per category with a warning ahead of time, not after the fact
• Where the money came from — salary, cash, interest, transfers from people
• Year in review: records, habits, and what they cost per year
FAMILY
A teenager, elderly parents, a partner — with their consent and their own key. The app does not show every purchase. It warns about the things that usually come before trouble: betting, cash withdrawals at night, series of transfers, a card at zero before a trip.
For older relatives this is the main sign of phone fraud — "withdraw everything and move it to a safe account". Seeing it in time matters more than learning the amount afterwards.
CASHBACK AND MERCHANT CODES
On the first of the month the app suggests which cashback category to pick — based on your own spending in previous months. It also shows merchants whose category code does not match what they sell: cashback is calculated by that code, so a wrong one costs you money.
SUBSCRIPTION
For three days the app works fully and for free — with your own statement, not demo numbers. After that a subscription is required:
• $1.99 per month
• $17.99 per year — a quarter cheaper
The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings; access stays until the end of the paid period.

PRIVACY
There is no server. The key is stored in Keychain, the statement stays on your device, and no data is sent anywhere. The monobank key is read-only: it cannot be used to transfer or withdraw money.
The app can be locked with Face ID, and it hides numbers in the app switcher.

Family Expenses Insights is not an app, service or product of monobank and is not affiliated with the bank. It is a third-party app that reads your statement through the official open Personal API (api.monobank.ua) using a key you create yourself and can revoke at any time.

Ratings & Reviews
Fixed an empty transfers breakdown on a family member’s card: tapping “Transfers” in the spending list or a transfer in “Biggest expenses” now shows the operations. Transfers to the person’s own name still don’t count as spending.
