Fixed: * When you specify a language that a dynamic date should expand in, a selection tick correctly shows in the menu next to the selected date language to reflect your choice. The tick went AWOL in a previous update, but it’s back now. * Deleting snippets by swiping left now immediately updates the snippet count in the sidebar and the list header. Before it was only updating after switching away to another set and back. * After deleting a snippet, selection now moves correctly to the next snippet in the list. * There was a bug that would cause the TypeIt4Me menu to instantly close again the very first time it was opened by clicking the icon in the menu bar, if “Hide window on launch” was selected in the app’s Settings. That bug is a hazy memory now. * Template snippets that contain 'greater than' and 'less than' characters now expand correctly with no missing chunks of content before the prompts / variable input fields. * Some snippets combining both pictures and dynamic dates would not include the picture when expanded in the Pages app. That’s fixed now. * A bug crept into an earlier build that would cause the search window to expand rich snippets as plain text with part of the content missing. We sent that bug away to live on a farm in the countryside and now the search-and-insert window correctly expands rich snippets again. * When the app has not been granted accessibility permission, selecting a rich formatted snippet from the menu to paste manually now correctly places the full RTF content on the clipboard. In previous builds, the snippet was erroneously being converted to plain text first. * Rich formatted template snippets containing both variable input fields (prompts) and embedded images should now expand correctly without losing the images. * Any command-key combo (e.g. a ⌘V paste action) now correctly resets the keyboard buffer again. This means you can have (for example) a snippet with an abbreviation that’s just two apostrophes and it won’t trigger accidentally if what you want to do is just type an apostrophe, paste something then type a closing apostrophe. * A few minor issues affecting the rich formatting popover menu have been resolved. It now behaves itself and won’t misapply certain attributes when there’s lots of mixed formatting in a snippet. Also, the labels on the B, I and U segmented controls now properly turn white when selected, so they can clearly be seen against the selection highlight background colour. * In a previous build a bug snuck in that would fail to expand animated GIFs inline in Mail messages on Macs running Tahoe. They would become TIFF attachments instead. This has now been corrected, but you may need to recreate or update any existing snippets you have that contain GIFs in order for them to work in Mail on Tahoe. * Remapping ⌘V to something else with a third party app is no longer a barrier to expanding typed abbreviations or pasting them from the point-and-click menu. New: * When running on Tahoe, all the items in the TypeIt4Me menu now have accompanying SF symbol icons. This avoids haphazard indentations and ensures that all the menu items remain horizontally aligned, so they’ll be easier to scan at a glance. * Improved compatibility with Spotlight and other non-standard floating input windows, e.g. the Quick Capture panel in Drafts. Fixed: * The problem of rich formatted text sometimes being invisible on expansion should no longer occur. This was due to the way rich snippets were saved with black/white colour-reversal while the system Dark Mode appearance setting was enabled. It would sometimes produce white text on a white background or black text on a dark background, rendering it illegible. The trade-off we made to address this issue: the editing area for rich snippets now always has a white background, even in Dark Mode. * The last update introduced a bug that prevented option / prompt cells from opening automatically for editing when added to a snippet. That bug is now TOAST. * There was a bug that would prevent the TypeIt4Me icon from showing up in the menu bar. It’s history now. Let’s never speak of it again. * The priority of identical abbreviations with differing snippet content is once again immediately updated after re-ordering sets in the sidebar. There was a bug in the last update that resulted in a re-launch being required for the change to be registered. * We fixed an issue with undoing snippet changes or deletions that could sometimes cause a crash. * We’ve also corrected a slew of minor glitches, missing tooltips and localisation goofs.

New: * Re-compiled and optimised for macOS 26 Tahoe, with UI tweaks to accommodate the new Liquid Glass look Apple introduced in its latest system. * The delete button in the toolbar above the snippet list column has been replaced with an expanded action menu: Sort By Show Duplicates / Show All Snippets Move to Copy to Duplicate Delete* You can now swipe to delete snippets. * Better support for nesting snippets (can now insert a snippet from any set, not just the currently selected one). * Improvements to management of duplicate snippets and automatic disambiguation of unique identifiers. * Increased text size in the Abbreviation, Label and (plain) Snippet content fields so those of us over the age of 45 won’t have to squint so hard to read it. Fixed: * Fixed a bug that could prevent enabling or disabling the iCloud sync option on macOS 26 Tahoe. * Snippets now correctly expand in uppercase when Caps Lock is on. * Inclusion of a vertical pipe character no longer causes rich snippets to expand as plain. * Paste clipboard now works in rich snippets. * The sort order of the set that you click last before closing the main TypeIt4Me window no longer changes the sort order for all the other sets in the point and click menu. * The “Open backups folder” buttons now work correctly on macOS Tahoe. * When the abbreviation for a rich snippet contains 2 or more numbers, the snippet no longer incorrectly expands in all caps. * The “strip ’s’ for plurals” expansion setting now works for rich snippets as well as plain. * Switching to a different set while in “show duplicates” view now correctly refreshes the snippets list. * Dock / menu bar icon display settings now behave correctly on macOS Tahoe. * Abbreviations that contain previously problematic diacritics and accented characters (e.g. û) will now expand. * Abbreviations containing non-ASCII characters (Cyrillic, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Arabic, etc.) are no longer prevented from expanding properly. * When crafting a pop-up menu prompt, if you name it *after* adding the radio options, the name no longer replaces the final radio option value as soon as you click Done. * Abbreviations that include numbers now expand with correct capitalisation when you type the first letter with a capital. * You can now access the full range of rich formatting controls in the Add a Snippet window. * We’ve also corrected many other minor glitches, missing tooltips and localisation errors.

* There’s a new setting to stop the main TypeIt4Me window opening on launch. * “New Predefined Set” has been added to the TypeIt4Me menu, for increased discoverability. * There are several new predefined date formats to choose from when inserting a dynamic date in a snippet. * Fixed a bug that would add an unwanted carriage return after expanding a prompt snippet. * When TypeIt4Me is in the Dock but the main window is not open, a single click on the Dock icon will now open the window; you no longer have to long-press on the icon and select “Show TypeIt4Me” from the menu. * Fixed a bug that would cause the TypeIt4Me icon to reappear in the Dock despite “Don’t Show App Icon” being selected in Settings. * When the “Show in Menu Bar” app icon setting is selected, you can now choose whether the TypeIt4Me icon should also show temporarily in the Dock while the main app window is open. * Fixed a bug that could prevent adding multiple fill-in options / prompts to a rich formatted snippet. * All options in the View menu for sorting snippets should now work correctly and the chosen sort order for each set will also be reflected in the point-and-click menu. * Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause the snippet formatting popover menu to close immediately when opened. * Improved compatibility with WhatsApp. * Fixed a bug affecting nested snippets that contain rich formatting and / or pictures; formatting and pictures are now correctly retained on expansion. * The position cursor special function now works correctly in rich formatted snippets. * Fixed a bug where abbreviations would remain when expanding snippets in File > Save dialogs. * When TypeIt4Me is set to show only in the Dock, selecting “New Set” or “New Snippet” from the menu now correctly opens the main TypeIt4Me window. * Fixed a bug where the wrong fill-in option / prompt would be renamed when saving changes if more than one fill-in option / prompt with the same name was present in the snippet. * Fixed bugs that would result in the wrong popover preview content being shown when quickly moving the pointer over adjacent fill-in options / prompts in a rich formatted snippet. * When you delete a snippet while in “Show duplicates” view it no longer erroneously reverts to showing the full snippet list, so you can continue to view, edit and delete duplicates. * When adding a “Don’t expand in” or “Only expand in" rule to a set, Safari now correctly appears in the list of apps you can apply the rule to.

* Fixed more bugs that could cause CSV import problems and also added support for an additional third column, for those who wish to import label descriptions along with abbreviations and snippet content. * Fixed a bug affecting German keyboards that would prevent expansion of abbreviations containing these characters: ^ ° ` ´ § * The “All punctuation resets abbreviation” option in Expansion settings was not working correctly; now it does. * Fixed a bug that would cause problems attempting to save changes to snippets containing emoji. * After you type something in the search filter above the snippet list, it’s now correctly cleared when you switch to another set. * Fixed a bug that broke Pause / Resume in the TypeIt4Me menu. * After selecting a file in Finder and pressing the Enter key to rename it, expansion now works as expected. * Fixed a bug that would leave the first letter of an abbreviation behind after expanding a snippet in the Chrome URL bar. * Usage metadata and statistics now update correctly for rich formatted snippets that contain dates and / or special TABs * Fixed: the Add a Snippet window now correctly displays a warning again when you attempt to define an abbreviation that already exists and it once again gives the option to create a duplicate or overwrite the existing snippet. * Fixed a bug in the text formatting popover menu that could cause the SF symbols on text alignment and hyperlink buttons to display as question marks. * Rich snippets with abbreviations that involve holding the shift key or that begin with 2 numbers or more no longer expand in Unwanted Title Case. * The app now prevents attempts to combine special function characters in a snippet with fill-in field options and / or pulldown menu prompts, as mixing these is not currently supported. * The “Add a Snippet” window now does a better job of preserving rich formatting attributes when you select text and invoke it. * Improved support for formatting and saving non-latin alphabet characters * Attempting to expand a snippet that contains an empty autocue placeholder no longer results in a crash. * Fixed a bug that could cause a square symbol to be appended to the end of expanded snippets when using the esc key as a trigger. * Numerous stability and performance improvements.

Bug fixes:     •    Adding a word to ignore in AutoCorrect settings works as expected again (no more crashes)     •    The “starting with a capital” checkbox in AutoCorrect “ignore” settings is now selectable again     •    We fixed an issue where dragging a CSV file into the sidebar would not convert it correctly • The AM / PM option in the "Add a time" menu works again     •    The snippet list column now displays correct previews for snippets that contain a mixture of both dates and prompts     •    Dates now correctly expand in the default system language when no language has been specified     •    Stats and metadata now update correctly after expansion for snippets that contain prompts     •    Date snippets in search window results no longer need to be clicked twice to be inserted     •    This build now correctly prevents unsupported mixing of autocue placeholders and input field prompts in the same snippet     •    Turning off accessibility permission while the app is running no longer causes lock-ups (it's still best to quit the app before changing its permission, though)     •    Some minor localization omissions have been addressed
