The RainViewer weather app gives you highly accurate forecasts directly from weather radars. Be prepared for rain, snow, storm, hurricane, or any other severe weather conditions. Monitor the weather radar map and check the forecast - all in one app.
RainViewer gives you access to all the essential tools needed to stay aware of the weather. This includes hyperlocal forecasts, a down-to-the-minute rain chart, weather alerts, a radar map, and widgets.
WEATHER RADAR MAP
Watch the animation to see the storm’s intensity and its path in the past, present, and future. This will give you a quick heads-up of what to expect in your area.
GLOBAL RAIN&SNOW
No radar coverage? No problem! Our “Global Rain&Snow” map layer shows real-time, satellite-based precipitation data for radar-free zones, such as oceans or deserts. Stay informed about rain and snow patterns on the map and receive alerts no matter where you are.
FORECAST
Get the most important weather information with hourly and daily forecasts that help you plan your days better. Check the minute-by-minute rain forecast when it starts to rain, so you'll know when the rain stops and avoid getting wet.
WEATHER ALERTS
Get notified when the rain starts and ends with our precise rain alerts. Be aware of upcoming critical weather conditions with severe weather alerts.
WIDGETS
Small things can make your life easier, like widgets. Set them up to get quick weather updates without even unlocking your phone. Stay informed and be prepared for any weather, right from your lock or home screen.
LIVE ACTIVITY
Quickly check the weather with RainViewer’s Live Activity. It shows a minute-by-minute precipitation forecast, rain intensity, and the time left until the end of the rain.
TEMPERATURE MAP

This app became useless
Forces premium and constantly shows ads. I don't remember this in the previous versions. Update after dev's response: I understand that you need to make money but "forcing ads or premium" for a thing that has been working fine previously without ads / premium is a bad move. You can add new features and sell them, but you can't remove something that already exists and make it a paid option. I've downloaded this app where it did not force me to do any of that and that app deserved a higher rating - now it is a completely different thing that I would not even consider installing.
It is like iOS weather precipitation map but worse at this point - I see no reason to use it, especially when it forces me to buy a premium to view a forecast. Does not serve its main purpose = has no value to me anymore, thus 1 star.

Hello. Thanks so much for trying our app! If we understand you correctly, you feel uncomfortable about the third-party advertisement appearing in the app. Sorry for any inconvenience. Unlike premium, ads are indeed the free version option. We analyze ad behavior and try it to be not that annoying though. If you hesitate to order a premium subscription, you are still very welcome to use our free of charge version since many of the basic options are free of charge.
