Xcode offers the tools you need to develop, test, and distribute apps for Apple platforms, including predictive code completion, generative intelligence powered by the best coding models, advanced profiling and debugging tools, and simulators for Apple devices. It enables a unified workflow that spans from the earliest stages of app development to testing, debugging, optimization, and app distribution to testers and users. And with the Swift programming language, Xcode makes developing apps easy and fun.
Simulator enables rapid prototyping and testing of your app in a simulated environment when a real device isn't available. Instruments helps you profile and analyze your app, improve performance, and investigate system resource usage. And you can use Icon Composer to design stunning layered icons out of Liquid Glass, Reality Composer Pro to create spatial content, train custom machine learning models with Create ML, and identify potential accessibility issues with Accessibility Inspector.
To test or run applications on an Apple device, all you need is a free Apple Account. To submit your apps to the App Store, you must be a member of the Apple Developer Program. Some features may require internet access and may not be available in all regions or on all Apple devices.

Xcode 14.3 - worst update during last 5 years of my personal usage.Xcode the best and only one IDE for apple products and every single year apple development team improve it's functionality, but after this update I can't even open my projects, and the count of reports - much bigger then for last few years of usage.Put 3/5, only because a lot of great work you've done already, but for this update - rating 1/5
Too buggy, glitchy and unstable. Pain to use.

Xcode stays true to its legacy. Just like every previous version, Xcode 16 is buggy, crash-prone, and full of features that exist in the UI but don't actually work. For example, “Show Callers” or “Jump to Definition” still doesn't work. Just like it didn't ten years ago. What's worse is that Xcode used to be at least somewhat helpful in suggesting method names in context. Now, instead, it uses an AI model that offers completely irrelevant suggestions. Debugging? That's a separate disaster. At any given moment, Xcode will randomly declare that an object is “unavailable,” and the only reliable way to debug anything is by spamming print() statements in the console like it's 1995.And let's not even start on the fact that I can't even share my app with my family unless I pay Apple $100 and pass their lovely review process. Apparently, buying an iPhone and writing an app for it isn't enough — you also need to kneel before Tim Cook himself and politely ask His Majesty for permission to run your own app on your own device.I sincerely hope the EU steps in and forces a change and that Apple gets slapped with billion-dollar lawsuits. It's exactly what they deserve for treating developers and users with such disdain.
I edited my review and here is why.

Updated:Hey guys, I was extremely angry just a day ago about new version of Xcode. But you really did a great job introducing a lot of new features which I personally was really expecting. So Xcode becomes better I should admit, but PLEASE fix all major bugs before release) And thanks for your hard work!P.S. Bug with autocompletion and highlighting stangely have gone awayOld:Hey Apple, you dissapointing each time worse and worse :( This is a PROFESSIONAL instrument, this is how you treat your developers?? Do not release a version if it has so many bugs. I was fool to update to this Xcode 11 version, which I regret a lot. Even syntax highlight and autocompletion is NOT WORKING, how is that possible at all?))) I understand that you rolled out a lot of new features, but plesae work on all the bugs BEFORE you release a product. This update is such a pain, please fix what you have broken.

Whole ecosystem is designed around the idea that you're either using Xcode or you can go eat a bag of @#$%s. And this right here is the only reason anyone would ever use this "Developer Tool".Every other tool is only allowed to build on top Xcode toolchain. Needless to say that building on top a pile of trash results in a very unpleasant experience for everyone involved. It's been how many years exactly? To this day Apple still can't figure out how to ship delta updates, instead forcing us to re-download the whole thing over and over. And don't even start me on the debugger. There wasn't a single day when i used it and it didn't hang at least once. It's a complete meme at this point.
