GET IT DONE

Organise your photos

Use these apps to sort, deduplicate and convert.

Ready to finally organise the thousands of photos you’ve stashed on your Mac over the years? These action-oriented apps can help.

Spect

Spect lets you quickly browse previews of the photos stored across your various hard drives and delete those you don’t want. You can then drag the keepers to a specific folder, the Photos app or your favourite image editor.

PhotoSweeper

Is your Photos library or Mac storage cluttered with photo bursts and outtakes? PhotoSweeper finds potential duplicates and presents them in a photographer-friendly interface with large previews and image metadata so you can choose which ones to delete.

Avalanche Unlimited

Avalanche Unlimited can migrate catalogues from Aperture and Adobe Lightroom (version 5 and later) to current versions of Lightroom Classic, Luminar 4 or Capture One. With the help of machine learning, the app preserves standard tone, colour, white balance and black-and-white conversion edits when migrating. It also keeps originals, edited versions and any existing organising structure.

Peakto

Peakto consolidates photos scattered across multiple apps and locations into a single virtual library – while keeping the actual photos in their original libraries in apps such as Lightroom Classic, Capture One and even Aperture. The app’s AI-powered search tools let you quickly find photos no matter where they live.

GraphicConverter

GraphicConverter is a capable image editor, but it made its name – literally – with its fast and versatile conversion features: it converts images – individually or in batches – to over 80 formats, making it easy to standardise photos you’ve imported from different sources.
