Wranglify is a data workbench for the files that break everything else: the 400 MB export, the CSV with two date formats and a JSON column, the extract that cannot leave your machine. Make those edits in a few clicks, save the recipe, and run it over a whole folder of files- or share the recipe with a coworker. CSV, TSV, JSON, NDJSON, JSONL, XLSX, SQLite, and .gz of any of them. Exports CSV, JSON, NDJSON, XLSX, SQL statements, and SQLite. It runs entirely on your Mac. No account, no upload, no network connection of any kind. BIGGER THAN THE SPREADSHEET A spreadsheet stops at 1,048,576 rows. Wranglify opened a 497 MB, 5,096,070-line log in 3 milliseconds and scrolled every one of the 5,040,000 records it found, with real row numbers, at the same speed at row 5,000,000 as at row 1. Nothing was skipped and nothing was summarised away. FOR DATA THAT CANNOT LEAVE If the file has customer records in it, the online converter is not an option and neither is the plugin. Wranglify is sandboxed and makes no network requests at all, which is a property you can check rather than a promise you have to take: the app ships a page that reads back its own security policy and then tries to smuggle data out through every channel there is, so you can watch each one refused. There is also a PII scrubber for when the file has to be shared: mask emails and phone numbers, drop columns, or replace an identifier with a stable hash so rows still join. SPLIT A COLUMN AT ANY DELIMITER, IN ONE CLICK "12 High St, London, UK" in one cell. A name field holding "last, first". A key like "2026-Q1-EMEA". Click the column and the delimiter is already chosen, because Wranglify scores which character actually separates values rather than which one appears most, and it sizes the split to the widest value so nothing lands in a leftover column. SQL YOU CAN PASTE Turn a file into CREATE TABLE, INSERT, SELECT and UPDATE for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server or SQLite. The types come from a scan of the whole file, not the first ten rows: VARCHAR sized to what is actually there, INT or BIGINT by magnitude, DECIMAL by observed scale, NOT NULL only where there are no nulls, and a primary key only where the column is provably unique. Export the whole file as .sql, or as a real .sqlite database. A REAL SQL ENGINE, LOCALLY Load several files as tables and join, filter, group and sort them with SQLite running on your own machine. Every step shows the SQL it generates. PIVOT AND CHART Drag fields into rows, columns and values for a pivot with totals, subtotals, number formats and heat-mapped cells. Copy it as Markdown, HTML or TSV, or save a styled workbook. Charts draw whatever the pivot holds, aggregated in the engine rather than sampled. EVERY FIX IS A STEP The pipeline is a list you can reorder, switch off and undo. Save it as a recipe, hand it to someone else, and run it again next quarter against a file that does not exist yet. Authorize a folder once and apply that recipe to every file in it, from the app or from a terminal. SMALL, ON PURPOSE 10 MB installed, 6.3 MB to download, and that includes a full SQL database engine, a chart renderer, and an XLSX reader and writer. It bundles no browser of its own, so a single architecture is under 5 MB. Nothing in it is padding. OPENS CSV, TSV, JSON, NDJSON, XLSX, SQLite, and .gz of any of them. Writes CSV, JSON, NDJSON, XLSX, SQL and SQLite. ALSO Eleven themes and five typefaces, with contrast checked as a test rather than as a preference. Multiple windows. Drag the finished file straight out of the window into Finder or Mail.
