本考古探險APP為了強化八仙洞考古遺址現地的體驗，藉由AR擴增實境技術，在遺址現地的十處洞穴或岩蔭呈現身歷其境般的互動導覽，讓大眾能透過科技，以不破壞現場風貌的方式體驗八仙洞考古遺址這座戶外博物館。若不能前往現場，亦可使用APP中的快速瀏覽功能，以不在場的方式了解八仙洞考古遺址。 APP使用的權限包含位置資訊、相機，為透過GPS定位以出現AR導覽的必要權限。八仙洞考古探險中，除了有生動、趣味的虛擬導覽員家族進行解說，還能在遺址現場重現史前情境、狩獵情境互動、考古發掘互動及出土的考古遺物知識介紹，讓人重新認識八仙洞考古遺址特殊的地質景觀以及豐沛的人類歷史遺存，達到教育與推廣的目標。 APP使用的權限包含位置資訊、相機，為透過GPS定位以出現AR導覽的必要權限。
