Crown Calc Elite is designed to simplify the task of solving and cutting crown mold angles. Whether you are a do-it-yourselfer or professional tradesman, you'll find this app saves you time and reduces wasted material. This app includes illustrations for getting your compound miter saw in the right position for each cut you need to make. It takes the guesswork out of finding the bevel and miter angles so you can get the cut right the first time. Inputs: -Spring Angle (angle between wall and crown molding) -Wall Angle (angle between two wall that form the corner) -Corner Type (Inside or Outside) -Corner Side (Select left or right piece to calculate) Outputs: -Bevel Angle (Tilt on top of saw blade) -Miter Angle (Rotation angle of front of saw blade) -Edge to Fence -Side to Keep Preference Settings: -Compound Miter Saw Type (Left, Dual, Right) -Angle Type (Degree, Radian, Gradian) Help descriptions are provided in the app to give more information on various inputs and outputs if needed. So simple and intuitive

With just a basic understanding of installing trim this calculator takes ALL of the headache out of cutting your pieces for crown molding. (And if you’re confused by terms like fence, spring angle etc, the app tells you what each term means with a simple click over the word). And the image shows you the orientation of the saw to make sure your making the correct cuts. So much less waste compared to my previous crown projects before I downloaded this!

I’m relatively new to crown molding projects; used this app while doing a project in a small office space in my home. Older house and not a square corner to be had. This app rocked! Got me all the correct angled cuts quickly. Great support too; fast response to a question I had. Thank you!

Only takes consideration if you are laying the molding flat and with a compound miter saw. Typically crown molding is flipped upside down with your choice of inner or outer cuts. This app does not give you the choice to pick what your setup is. Useless app.

This app is designed to simply cut crown molding and does not require users to flip molding upside down. The app allows you to pick inner or outer cuts and specifies putting either the top or bottom edge towards the fence. If you follow the instructions shown in the app it will produce the correct cuts for both inner and outer corners. The calculations in this app have been proven with users for nearly 10 years.
