Oh wow, this is the best Voice-to-text application I have ever seen, and I have tried at least s dozen like this. I have been able to use it without having to re-hit the mic button upwards of 10 minutes, and it continues to transcribe what I dictate. This is perfect for students who want to dictate papers on the go. You can do your papers in the car, you can write memos, all kinds of things. You don't even have to add the punctuation, although you better do it later. There's only one annoying thing: the ding at the end of recording. When you hit stop, it dings. That is a little bit annoying in a little bit useless. But the fact that it doesn't stop after 30 seconds is amazing. You don't lose your concentration because you feel like you did not hit the microphone and time. This is pretty accurate. I'm not sure how accurate it is in comparison with the on the go app that Dragon by Nuance is, but it is very good, and only cost three dollars for the pro version, and well worth it. Dragon cost $15 a month, and I find it not worth the bang for the buck. I would highly recommend this. I hope the developer gets to sell this to 10,000 people, or even 100,000 people. He's got a great product – just get rid of the ding sound that the software makes, when you hit the stop button.

Launching Dictate Pro immediately produced a “Recognition not available (No internet!)” message even though I’m connected (writing this review) and clicking the Dictate button didn’t do anything. Clicking “Help” took me to a macOS support page (even though I installed the app on an iPhone), so I ended up googling iOS dictation info and got the app running on my own.The app actually works great! It’s quick, forgiving of minor background noise, and isn’t a resource hog. This is impressive enough for a four star rating (in spite of an abysmal initial experience).

Powerful, simple and efficient. The speech recognition works great and it motivated me to retrain Siri to understand me better; now it works flawlessly! I absolutely love the ability to have three ongoing dictations simultaneously (I wish there were more slots available) and I am able to jump to any topic and append thoughts on the fly. I do love the ability to edit but would love to see some new voice features implemented, such as: • Insert Date • Insert Time • Insert Location • Text Formatting. Overall, Excellent job!!! - Luigi M. Dictate pro is proving to be a very good dictation software for the iPad. I don’t like the fact that I can’t edit on the fly by saying control words like go back three words or select previous three words or delete that as I could when I was using Dragon speak. But this app picks up my dictation without me having to speak very loudly and as long as I pay attention to my enunciation and pronunciation he does a good job for what I wanted to do
