Great printer with some significant flaws.

I have owned a number Epspn printers, most recently an XP-960, and each of them has been virtually flawless in every regard. This new one, an XP-8800, does not measure up to the others. As a simple printer it works beautifully. However, the fact that it requires an additional app in order tp print from an iPhone or IPad is unacceptable. Particularly when it appears, according to your website, the apps are not compatible with this printer. The need for an additional app for scanning is also a serious issue. .

I have printed with this Epson ET2800 for a while but now it want connect to my iMac computer. So flustering I contacted Epson care, we talked for a while, she said I’m putting you on hole, after 20 minutes the phone went dead.

I purchased this app under the impression that it includes a scanner function, meaning I could scan from my Epson printer/scanner to my computer. Instead it will scan and print documents already on my computer and I can’t understand how that is called “scanning” instead of “printing.” It doesn’t scan as implied in the name of the app. I wasted my money.
