I normally don’t write reviews, but after turning on Health sharing with the iPhone’s health app, I couldn’t help but notice how simply written and straightforward the disclaimer and privacy notice was! It’s also free to download with a limit of three free measures per day, and that’s better than a lot of other apps. I don’t want anything fancy, something super basic.Two bits for improvements:1. Lack of sex. Women generally have lower heart rates than men, so what may seem abnormally low can be a bit more normal for a woman.2. Lack of definition. I’m not sure what’s considered resting or normal. Sure, there’s the suggestion to measure resting heart rate 2min after waking up, but what about lying down? Or after meditation? Should those count too or are those considered normal

I recently started using heart rate monitor apps because I started taking cycling, and after I’m done with my workouts, and it’s helpful for me to know if I’m not overtraining and overworking my heart. Today I got back from biking 10 miles, and I sat down to take my heart rate with the leading app, and then I used this one. Then after an hour or two of rest, I decided to take my heart rate again on this app and the leading app, what I saw was that I had a heart rate of 66bpm on the leading app, consistent with my activity level since I was sedentary at the time. Then I used this one. The reading started at 70, then gradually started jumping up towards 136bpm, then it started drastically dropping down to 90, and started jumping again. Obviously that wasn’t what was happening with my heart, or else I’d be dead, so then I decided to do a little experiment. It seems like these apps work by the cameras detection of red light, like when your finger is on the light, I put on a red sweater and put it so that the light would reflect red light from my sweater thus triggering a recording. Out of my lifeless red sweater, it detected a heart rate of 88bpm 😂😂 I was unpleasantly not surprised since the app had been showing some pretty inaccurate readings from the get go, I just didn’t realize it was flat out lying. I did do the same with the leading app and it did not register a pulse

It probably saved my life! I recently had my heart go out of rhythm with your app alerting me to Afib! Did not know what that was till I remembered my friend who I sent to my Dr when his wife told me she was worried about him!! That Dr was the Electrician for my heart Dr. He that very day said you need a pacemaker now! His wife was a nurse! Dr said no appt, I mean now and convinced him to follow him. They crossed from his office to bridge to the hospital and Bill was taken over by team, Dr went to scrub😇snd he got pacemaker! Pretty much same with me😂except I said my 50 Th anniversary is tomorrow and we are going to dinner! He said Okey! See the scheduling and I will see the next day ❗And I did this 10 years ago
