"Understanding words means understanding Japanese" is the concept behind this app. Of course, knowing words alone is not enough to speak Japanese; studying grammar is also necessary. However, it is a certain fact that knowing just the words can somewhat make conversational Japanese possible. This app contains 1,600 essential words, including common greetings, divided into 100 lessons. You will deepen your understanding through a learning cycle of: Study -> Test -> Study -> Test -> Study -> Test. With included audio, you should gain a more practical understanding of Japanese. It's fine to progress with just 3 minutes of learning a day using this app.

Very straightforward vocabulary app with specific chapters you can choose from. I love that it’s not trying to spin on the “gamification” apps like duolingo and such. It’s a simple format and very helpful in my opinion. You study, you test reading and writing, pass and move onto the next chapter. The reason it’s not a five star is because I just don’t like the look of the app and it’s a little clunky but aside from that, no ads, free, honestly this is a 95/100. Good job.
