It’s useful but glitchy for a paid app

I know $2 isn’t a lot, but for an app to cost money that does nothing but set a timer and make sounds, why does the app freeze and glitch so often? I have an iPhone sr (2020 edition) so it might just be outdated. However, for such a simple app is it possible to make it compatible for all devices and lag free? When ever I open the settings of the app and try to change the white noise, sometimes it glitches and the app freezes and the sounds don’t change when you tap it. Then maybe 10 seconds later it would change and freeze again. Eventually the app just crashes and I have to start over all my sessions. I like the app other than the glitches, but it really ruins my work flow and misses the whole point of this app. I’d also like there to be more features if possible. After many sessions with this app, the sounds just get old and mundane. If the creators can add anything new that would be nice.

Simple, stress free timer

I have tried several different focus timers and ended up using this app the most consistently. I like the bear, compliments, and white noise options, and find this app less stressful than the timers with gamification and negative consequences such as killing my digital plant. However, I would like a more functional iPad version. I also would like a widget for the iPhone, so you could use bft with another app. (& maybe an option to set permissions for certain apps allowed to be used with the timer widget going)

The interface is super simple and easy to use, and that is what makes this app an incredibly effective focus tool. It doesn’t give you annoying reminders if you interrupt your focus session, Bear simply scowls at you. It is super nice that you can set different sounds to play when the timer is up. I also like that it isn’t a traditional circular timer for the screen. Instead, Bear makes you want to complete your study sessions so that he is happy. I absolutely love this app, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple, easy, and effective app for helping them stay on task.

I downloaded this app a while back and since I’ve started working from home I’ve started using it again. It’s an amazing little app with beautiful illustrations but about 50% of the time the timer won’t start when I flip my phone over. It’s really frustrating because there is no option to start the timer manually, meaning I may flip my phone over and not realize it hasn’t been started until I check it 30 minutes later. It can’t be such a difficult fix and the fact that it hasn’t been fixed in the 3 weeks that I’ve been WFH, makes me wonder whether the developer spends any time on this app anymore.
