Fun Bobbi
Easy and fun to use! The free version allows you to create a one word bubble which is cool for adding an exclamation. It doesn’t add crazy watermarks and didn’t try and force me to upgrade every two seconds. Spending the $3.99 to unlock the rest was BEYOND WORTH IT. After getting a hang of the free then upgrading I very quickly made an elaborate looking comic out of some of my nieces photos and ended up gifting her the app too. It’s been a great way for us to connect since we can’t hang out together during social distancing. (Can we get an undo button in the next update?)

Not enough free features

I got this app to make a comic book, but you have to pay for the good features! Really, you can only use 10 letters per speech bubble! (I still found a way to make more than ten, putting speech bubbles on top of each other) But other than that it’s fun. I will not pay but I will still use it, making mini comics of my stuffed animals, so do not get this if you want to make a whole comic book. Developers please make more features and letters you can use for the people who are not spending money on this app. I did not give you one star because you can at least make mini comics. For some people the 10 letter problem would be fine for them, but I want to be an author when I grow up, so, yeah.

I just made my first comic panels using this app! Love it. Easy to drop and drag everything from photos, text, and stickers. I used LEGO and photography. If you are an illustrator, this is probably not what you want. No brushes or filters. But it fit my needs perfectly! I tried 4 other apps, and they were too complicated for simple photo/text work. I sent my pages to online comic guys, and they said the lettering was better than theirs! Thanks so much for creating this and sharing it at a reasonable cost!

If you are an illustrator, this is probably not what you want. No brushes or filters. But it fit my needs perfectly! I tried 4 other apps, and they were too complicated for simple photo/text work. I sent my pages to online comic guys, and they said the lettering was better than theirs! Thanks so much for creating this and sharing it at a reasonable cost!

I really like what you can get from this after putting through a ringer and other apps afterwards. It does the “comic” stuff better than other app so the design limitations really annoying. No lower cases of fonts? What’s the point if you can only fit a sentence or two tops to a “comic page”? Options are actually cut off in the interface, resizing text is disconnected from the bubbles. And everything created in a long rectangle means making square comics is near impossible so takes at least another app and tons of resizing. I’d buy the full one if I thought I could do any of that but those are basic design elements so it’s unlikely. I’ll revisit it and use it when I’m feeling really patient.

Be on the lookout, in the next month or so, I'm going to be releasing an update to the app that simplifies the user interface immensely (every single function is consolidated onto one screen). Also, I'm adding a feature that lets you resize the canvas of the comic strip so fix the problem you mentioned. Thanks again for taking the time to leave comments.
