This update of the app will support below enhancements. 1. Visitor searches for Host (Cardholder) fields in the Visitor Self Service app now only require ‘View’ within the Field/Page Permissions. Previously Edit was required. 2. Compatibility changes to support OnGuard 8.1 version. 3. App is Compatible with latest iOS version 14.7.1

This update to Visitor Self Service (VSS 1.5) contains enhancements usability, localization, and document support. Improvements to support more effective searches, keyboard selection to speed data entry, and better visitor feedback during the check in process. Language support is now aligned with OnGuard, and allows easy selection of language for both visitors and admins, along with customizable welcome messaging based on language. In addition, the document acceptance process now allows for embedding visitor/visit info into the accepted document, as well as the option to send copies to the visitor’s email for reference.

In this update to Visitor Self Service (VSS 1.4.1), we have updated the application to support “AirPrint” with iOS 13 and greater. The update contains some new changes for pulling “list Builder” entries from OnGuard into the VSS application for filtering purposes. There have been a few User Interface updates for proving the visitor with the lists for dropdown fields.

New to this version of Visitor Self Service (VSS) is the ability to scan a PDF417 barcode, and to scan using either the front or back camera on the iPad®. Delivered via email to future visitors, the barcode can be scanned during check-in or check-out of a visitor, by an iPad® running the VSS app, from a printed or digital version of the email, or from Apple® Wallet.

Resolves issue with fully qualified domain name (FQDN) when connecting to open access server.

Many new features suggested by current users of the VSS app have been introduced in this version. Exciting new features include the ability to save an iPad image or preset in the OnGuard® database, retention policies on photos and required documents, and the ability to upload a video for visitor viewing at check in. The administrator will now be able to save an iPad image or ‘Preset’ of the VSS configuration in the OnGuard® database. Once uploaded, the image can be downloaded to any subsequent Visitor Self Service kiosk, helping administrators deploy multiple sign in locations. Also new, videos for visitor viewing can now be uploaded as a required part of the check in process. Lastly, we added a feature enabling the administrator to set policy on required frequency of updating a visitor photo, gathering a signed agreement, and viewing a required video.
