The Digital SalmoFan™ app, when used together with the Digital SalmoFan™ color sensor, allows for the accurate scanning of salmon and trout color for objective measurements and ultimate quality control.
The Digital SalmoFan™ can only be used to measure Atlantic salmon and trout flesh. It is calibrated for a SalmoFan™ colour range of 22 and above (salmon), or 20 and above (trout). Measurements are valid only when the flat adapter is properly installed. A minimum of 6 scans in the NQC area of the fish is recommended.
The Digital SalmoFan™ cannot be used to measure salmon or trout skin, paper fan decks, or any other item.
