I had used the old version and always hoped the app would get an update. Now I can see exactly where my kiln is during a firing and for how long without being in the studio. Yesterday I had three kilns running. One doing a full fuse, one doing a schedule I wrote for lace effects and one doing a drop. As you can imagine my studio gets a wee bit warm when all three are firing. At every hold for the drop out I received a alert on my phone. I was able check the progress without babysitting my kiln. I could see exactly the temp and how long it had been holding. So instead of sitting and watching for 6 hours, I went and checked the progress every hour and was able to stop the kiln exactly when the bowl touched the shelf. Today I am running just one kiln and every step the app is letting me know where the schedule is. Thanks for doing the updated version because I am thrilled with it. The only improvement I can think of is letting me start a program from the app.

I’ve had my jenken kiln with a tap controller for a year now and I just ordered the TAP upgrade for my Evenheat kiln. Scott at SDS was very patient with me when I initially had problems connecting to the WiFi. We finally solved the problem and I have loved using the app. Make sure to pay for the upgrade as the best features are available then. I can start my kiln from the app, and I can also make on-the-fly changes to the program. The best part is that I can enter unlimited programs and give them names that mean something to me. I got to the point where I was so tired of reprogramming my Evenheat that when I saw there is a kit to replace my ramp master with a TAP I jumped at the chance. I’ve also seen upgrades to the app in the past year. The team is very responsive to suggestions. I highly recommend sds Industries and their products!

The App and controller is great. This company is amazing. They are so supportive and the customer service is great. Anytime i had a question or issue, they were on top of it and helped me immediately. Scott is wonderful. Worth every penny. Makes firing so much easier and now i dont have to get out of bed to check my kiln at night. I can just check out what’s going on in the app. It’s great. You wont be sorry working with this company. I love this Jen Ken Kiln with the tap controller. Both are so good and customer service couldn’t be better. Thanks for being so supportive. Wish everybody had customer service like you. Love this App, so happy the developer moved forward with a paid version. They deserve the income for creating such an amazing product.Imagine you’re in jewelry production and can remote activate, change firing patterns and monitor status of your kiln all from your smart phone! Well with TAP you can do all this and it’s super simple to use.The Alarm Features on the controller it’s self are very nice as well. My location is pretty big and sometimes I will get very busy and I will forget I’m doing castings and I will here a load Beep letting me know I’m at my next stage in the firing pattern.The APPS come a long way from original version!It’s pretty much flawless now!I will always reconvened TAP to anyone who’s a jeweler doing jewelry castings.Specially those of you/us that use castable resins that are 3D Printed ! It’s essential to have a solid firing pattern. With a good Kiln, good Air Flow and the TAP Controller you are golden !
