Although the app has some visual appeal, the functionality of it is bottom of the barrel. I spent the $2.99 to get the constellations and planets, and discovered that it is useless. I was trying to help my kid point her new telescope at interesting stellar objects and with a bright full moon in the sky SEE from my house, the app showed the moon in NNW to W, and no attempt to calibrate it fixed it, the image kept jumping. The additional frustration came when not all information menus has a “back” button. I had to restart the app to back up from Earth.
Waste of money gps way off to sky
Adult trike
This app is complete waste of money. When I point to moon in on sky in guide frame does not line up to their star chart and objects. Cannot line up sky through camara to match their overlay view. Not slightly off it’s way off even after auto recalibration several times they should be ashamed of themselves for producing this poor quality app that is use less as a star map. Unfortunately can’t show pictures so you can see screen shot of what a joke this app really is!
Developer Response
The main problem hides in device magnetometer, try app once more time on the open field without buidings around. Also check device native compas for right parameters, maybe your native compas will show you wrong directions.

Needs better search
DerrylC
I bought this app to locate a specific star, and paid for the pro version. $2 is not a lot of money. But...there is no “search” feature for stars, I scrolled down through hundreds (thousands?) of stars in the un-alphabetized list and eventually gave up. If you could type the name of the star, this would be a 5-star review
Developer Response
You can search in main field for all objects and find your star)
- More stable and faster.
- Optimized performance.
- The app is now more responsive and lighter.
