Welcome Weekend is a weekend packed full of fun activities and events. Students will move into their residence halls and attend their first hall meeting. Throughout the weekend, students will have the opportunity to meet fellow classmates in their First-Year Experience (FYE) class, and get to know their way around Kent's campus. This year's events include a hypnotist, Convocation, the Common Reading Experience, Discover Downtown Kent, and Blastoff! Other events include: bingo, movies, arcade games, ice skating, and karaoke.

What do students gain from WW?
· Further transitions students into the university environment.
· Students will learn critical information that can be applied "just-in-time" for classes to start.
· Social activities where you can meet new friends.
· Pride in being a Kent State student.
· Explore the Kent State Community.
· College-specific programming that include time for college open houses meetings.
