INSTANT & REQUEST BOOKINGS
========================
There are two types of restaurants booking categories: INSTANT BOOKINGS (watermelon colour label) and REQUEST A BOOKING (turquoise label). Click on the 'Book Now' or 'Request' buttons to select a date, party size and time for your reservation.
Bookings at Instant restaurants are instantly confirmed.
Request type bookings need to be accepted or declined by the restaurant. Note: keep a lookout for the 'medal icon' awarded to restaurants that respond promptly to booking requests. The restaurant's Average Response time is provided when tapping the turquoise label - top right on request restaurants.
YOUR BOOKINGS

View your upcoming and past booking reservations, from the bookings tab. Share, edit or cancel any of your upcoming bookings; and review past bookings.
FAVOURITES
==========
Tap the 'heart icon' to save your favourite restaurants for quick & easy future bookings.
NOTIFICATIONS
============
Instant bookings are confirmed via SMS and/or email. A reminder SMS is also sent 1 day prior and on the day of your booking reservation. Guests can confirm or cancel bookings by simply replying Confirm or Cancel to this SMS/Email message.

It seems the only game in town so to speak. I applaud them for their success in garnering so many restaurants in the Western Cape. However the lack of completion may hurt them as there is not a need to innovate and the app is less than intuitive in places and it seems you have to start a search over if you decide not to book a selection once you’ve gone two clicks in versus simply going back to search list.

It’s been interesting seeing the evolution of Dineplan, and the new features such as instant booking (my favorite!); restaurant ratings & specials. Certainly makes the dining out experience much more enjoyable. Good job team Dineplan!

I downloaded the app but never got the confirmation SMS, I see now that many people complain about this here. I tried creating a new account but the app says my email already has an account and that I should sign in. The only way for me to sign in is using a password that I never created. When I asked to reset said password the email they send me redirects me to the sign in page on their website and therefore I cannot sign in at all.This is absolutely frustrating especially because I have two reservations that I never got a confirmation email about and now cannot confirm. When I try to rebook my dinner reservations the website says I already have something booked for those dates. So, apparently, they have my reservations, they are just not willing to share them with me!

Well done for making this app. I hate phoning restaurants to check availability and speaking to people that either cannot understand me or I cannot understand them. Now I can check availability; book; and cancel bookings without speaking to anyone! Love it.
