I have all of the Haiku games and enjoy playing all of them. You can earn stars to use for hints if you get stuck and while the games can be challenging they are not impossible to figure out on your own. This game is a challenge but I love playing it! **keep reading for revised review below**I’M REVISING MY REVIEW. I do love Haiku games, but this one restarts at the beginning each time I open the app. I can’t solve all levels in one sitting, nor do I want to. But if I stop playing I’m forced to start again at level one when I come back to play again. None of the other Haiku games I’ve played do this. They all let me start where I left off. Hoping this is just a glitch they will fix.NEW REVISION: I sent an email to support and while it still isn’t saving my progress they are working on it and have been very helpful. Helpful support goes a long way in my book.

Not only is the IA expensive, you don't get a lot for your money! To skip any puzzles, it'll cost anywhere from 10-20 STARS, and their few and far between within the game. If you need a regular hint, it'll cost you 5 stars! 100 stars are $7.99 You can get 10 by writing a review and letting them have access to your FB friends and email! Lower the price of stars, and lower the amount of stars it takes to get hints! There should be a way to buy unlimited hints. And it shouldn't cost as many stars as it does! I absolutely love these games but sadly I've ended up deleting this dev's apps because of the money grabber game! Not everyone has the brain of a Scientist! This is a great game if you don't need help! I, like many of us, DO need hints, and not break the bank at the same time! I am all for supporting developers that I feel are worthy, and honest, but I won't support the ones that make it impossible to pass through without buying a bunch of things. You can find a shinning speck here and there, (Those are your hints, or stars) but with the cost of a hint or passing a puzzle within the game is impossible w/o spending $! Hope you're rich! I'm not! Change the amount we get per dollar AND the amount it takes to pass a puzzle or receive a hint, then it would be a 5 star game.

This is a great puzzle game. It has a great mix of easy, moderate, challenging, and extremely challenging puzzles in it. This is better than Big Fish games because it’s free and has a pretty good story, with a nice mix of the whimsical and macabre to keep you interested. A few of the puzzles had very obscure clues. I even had to consult a walkthrough for one of them (I’ll just say, “‘Triangles and Things that Fly’ for 500, Alex.”). I played this for about 4+ hours. Well worth it. People complain about paying for games, but I would pay a few bucks for this one. You can buy stars to gain hints but it isn’t necessary at all. So, don’t be put off by that IAP. It asks to be reviewed between the 8 chapters (optional), but that’s not a big deal for a free game. No ads either. 2 thumbs up and I’m going to the app store to see what else the developer has. :)

Highly recommended! Fun original story, good graphics and character design, and a fairly user-friendly interface. Although they require some guesswork (your character has limited info), puzzles are mostly solvable without hints. Few errors noted in the puzzles.Note to dev’s: You might want to check for errors in clock gear puzzle. I normally can solve these unaided. I found two workable gear size layouts, but just could not make colors match up! Another poss. error in ghost summoning boxes. Got all wood frames with their center crystals in place, and had all but one center crystal color point matched up to frame colors as well. That answer was accepted with the error intact. Did not need to skip, but the mismatch made solving take longer. Thanks for a really good time!
