Having been a part of the app in its earliest version and then since they changed the pay structure: the app isn’t worth the cost for what you get. While I appreciate that someone is striving to create a platform for Orthodox Christians to date; this app isn’t it. A) They don’t even include all the main Orthodox Jurisdictions within the US, it’s not a huge issue (for me), but it’s a poignant detail clearly missed which seems odd assuming a fellow Orthodox Christian made the app.B) I understand that it does cost money to maintain apps, however I feel like you’d actually make more money if the cost was lower and you could see more people. You could even do it in tiers: $5= 10 people, $10=15, etcWhile appreciate you’re trying to reduce the number of people we swipe on because mentally too many swipes takes dating into a weird place; $18+ dollars a month for limits feels steep.Also even with paying, our ability to filter is still limited. I kept re-seeing people I’d say no to repeatedly. C) because of the structure/limitations this app doesn’t feel helpful, it feels like someone taking advantage of a population whose earnestly struggling to find a spouse. Marriage is a sacrament & shouldn’t be used as an opportunity to profit off of other people’s loneliness. You can charge of course, be maybe rethink the cost vs benefit of what you’re actually offering. I just expected better from an Orthodox Christian

This app is prone to bugs. In my case, I can no longer read OR reply to chat messages despite showing several to be read from the little red badge, and receiving notifications from the app that show part of the message. Quite unfortunate considering a wonderful match I made, and we even planned a video call just before being able to exchange our contact information. I have sent emails to the customer support address but have not received a reply. The last notification I read from her is that she was notifying me that she would be deleting the app tomorrow... I realize the chances may be slim, but if the developer sees this message today, please reply or check your email!

The layout is certainly better than Orthodox and Single. I did the free trial and decided not to purchase at the end of the trial. On the first day, I got four likes. That was a nice surprise considering these looked like healthy, well groomed men, which is a big difference from the usual bottom of the barrel experience on other apps. First issue. I signed up at night so my stack drops at night, which is super annoying. I’d rather have it drop around 8am. Second issue. I get anywhere between 3-8 profiles a day in my stack. Is that because your app still doesn’t have many users? I certainly know it’s not because those are my matches considering ANY Orthodox man is a match except perhaps certain sects that are out of communion, which was 2 or 3 groups. It’s not worth paying for with so few people to see every day. Third issue. I sent a message to one man, and I don’t even know if he saw it, which means I’m standing by wondering if he still might be interested or whether he passed. Usually there are checks in the corner. One for “delivered.” Two for “read.” I don’t like guessing games. It feels crummy putting something out there and never knowing if a guy had just decided not to respond. It’s easier to move passed if I can see it’s been a day or two since he read the message. So no thanks for now. I’ll wait until the app user population grows. It’s just not worth it right now. I’d be happy to reconsider my rating when I feel those issues are resolved. After all, it’s just for Orthodox Christians, which is a huge plus.

This app is a great idea, but boy does it have problems. Not sure if it’s been abandoned by the devs or not. As a man, I get 2 swipes a day if I’m lucky (also with no filters applied). Not sure if that’s just from the lack of women on the app, or if they’re really trying to milk a subscription. But even when you pay for premium (as I did) you still don’t get many additional swipes. So the premium service is not worth it at all. Except you’ll get the see the faces of those that like you. Another function of the app that needs fixed, is it seems that your likes expire. So if someone likes your profile, and you don’t have premium you have to wait for their profile to pop up on 1 of your 2 swipes a day… and if that doesn’t happen soon enough, the likes disappear, so you miss out on your chance to connect with someone. Just another hurdle/frustration in the dating life of a single orthodox man. Were cooked bros.
