Your apartment building is only using this to cut down on costs on fobs and keys, being reliant on your phone (which's battery will soon become life or death if you are forced to use this app) to enter your living space is an actual joke. Not only that, but the app takes way too long to connect to the locks, replies on my apartment complex's terrible wifi to function, and sometimes will decide it doesn't want to open anymore and requires you to redownload the entire app to even get through your door! The worst part is that these piece of garbage locks are the reason my complex has so many break-ins during winter break! I probably wouldn't even use my phone anymore if it weren't for this app, if i had just been given a key, a stupid piece of metal to open my door (like the one for my room and mailbox) how much simpler would this have all been!The app is reliant on the fact that none of us have a choice to use it, so if you have to use it, complain, complain to your landlord, complain to on review websites, complain to other tenants. This shouldn't be acceptable so don't accept it!

if your building or university switches to this app, protest them immediately. they are cutting corners and are being cheap and lazy to save money.here’s the reality of this app:you go out to a bar and your phone is fully charged. you get blasted and record hours of videos at the club of Elvis impersonators and singing bad karaoke. you have 5% battery left when you order your Uber to get home. You arrive half covered in alcohol and liquids you probably don’t want to know or remember, and your phone is dead. now you can’t get into your building. you have to do the walk of shame of hunting down the front desk people (if they’re even there). they’ll ask you for a student ID that you won’t have, bc who brings one with to the bar? they’ll give you a number to call, but again, your phones dead. Finally, after an ungodly amount of time drunkenly trying to convince an RA younger than you of your identity, you’re back in your apartment and it’s now been an hour since your Uber ride. this is the life that will await you. if it’s not the bar, it’ll be when you go the gym and your phone dies and your roommates not home. it will be accidentally having doors lock and separate your cats and accidentally breaking a doorframe to rescue a cat because they didn’t tell you they install new locks on the door that look identical and now it’s a whole thing.so, just protest them and ask for a key fob. they allegedly have them if you complain enough.

This building access app is an absolute disaster. It constantly freezes, crashes without warning, and half the time doesn’t even recognize that I’m standing right at the door I’m supposed to enter. The whole point of an access app is reliability and convenience, and this one fails miserably on both fronts. I’ve been left standing outside in the rain more than once because the app simply refused to load or “lost connection” at the worst possible moment.The interface is clunky, unintuitive, and full of unnecessary steps just to do something as basic as unlocking a door. On top of that, support is nonexistent—emails go unanswered, and there’s no way to get real help when the app leaves you locked out.This is supposed to be a professional tool, but it feels like a beta test that never should have been released. Writing this review after trying to use the app to open 3 doors in my apartment building, I was denied access to each door 2 times before being let in on the third attempt. Not only does the key not work more than half the time but if you’re phone dies then you are just locked out of the building that you pay to live in, and if it’s after the time that your front office closes (5 o’clock for me) then you’re gonna be sleeping in your car or sleeping at the front door until someone with a charged phone who lives there is able to let you in. 0/10 do not recommend this app to my worst enemy. If your apartment complex decides to use this instead of a traditional key or a key fob then that just shows you how little they care about their residents. DO NOT LET YOUR APARTMENT SWITCH TO THIS!!!!
