I was immensely enjoying this game until the ballcourt. Playing on an iPhone is quite difficult, as where you need to stop the arrow is sometimes right on the white line to move between apps. It is also quite difficult to stop the arrows with your fingers on a phone, and I have small fingers and hands. My guess is this is meant to be played on an iPad or tablet, based on this and a few other scenes where things were difficult to see at the bottom of the screen on my phone. Overall well done and very fun to this point in the game. Just not sure I will finish now because it is too frustrating to know what I need to do but not be able to do it due to placement.

I hesitate to be overly critical because I really love Haiku Games. This dev has one of the most fair systems on the App Store. The game is free there are no intrusive adds. He makes his money by providing hints. In the past I have always written glowing reviews. I cannot in good conscience non bring up a few issues. First off I encountered a bug when my battery charger literally disappeared from my inventory, forcing me to replay the chapter with the most annoying under water puzzle ever. Secondly many of the puzzles are rehashed from earlier games just in slightly different variations. Please dev on your next game do not rehash or give face lifts to puzzles that need to be retired. You are ready to take it next level. Do something fresh and more innovative. Overall it is a solid game worthy of playing.

This game plays like a escape game, but it has a plot with cutscenes (hence, Adventure Escape).Many of the puzzles can be solved with ease, but the developers leave enough difficult puzzles for you to try and figure out (the hard puzzles are usually at the end of a chapter).You can find and collect stars to use as currency for answers, but try not to use them unless it is necessary.The best part (of course) is you do not need any WiFi to play this game.Haiku Games craft their apps rather well. No disappointments so far.

OK, I’m not the best player for games like this. I have to use walk-throughs for some of the more “random” or chaotic puzzles, but this game quickly became unplayable.There is a challenge to shoot baskets, in the proper order.I figured that part out, and quickly got to the last one.At this point, the trick is to bounce the ball into the goal. (Shooting is done by timing when to choose the left-right position, and then the up-down position, from sliding pointers.)Fine, except even when I knew where to shoot, I could never quite get the combination of positions for the ball to bounce into the goal. Rarely, the ball would bounce, but never successfully. There’s a huge amount of luck involved in getting the timing for this shot “just right”, and a small window of success, apparently. Anyway, to skip this challenge required more points than I had, and would have meant paying $$ just to get past this artificially-difficult task. Which makes the game unplayable, in my opinion.I understand they want to make money, and if the game was as enjoyable as some other entries, I might have gone for it. As it is, I just deleted the game and chalked the time up to lessons learned. YMMV.
