I discovered this app by talking to the people playing beach volleyball using this app. Then I started using it to go to the events organized by it. It’s very user friendly and easy to navigate. It’s well organized by tabs below. I can check event details under event tab. I see different groups discussing different topics under topic tab. I can view membership under certain groups. It’s just so easy for me and others to engage in the event planning, activities themselves, heads up on the etas of individual participates the event, etc. I event organized a hiking event after using this app briefly and it’s free! Highly recommend to everyone who would like to organize things and build a close ties community around it. They will find themselves very successful for the things they want to do by using this app.

I run a social club for book lovers, and we had been growing so well through social media that there wasn’t a single place to send new members. If someone discovered us on TikTok, I had to direct them to other platforms to understand what we do and how to get involved. I used to have a newsletter, but those can get expensive, and it became overwhelming managing so many different touchpoints and channels. It took time and money I didn’t have. Then I heard about this app from another club that was using it. I quickly looked into it and realized it was perfect for managing all my community members in one space. I love the events tab and being able to get RSVPs, which helps when coordinating with venues for our events. I also love that there’s a chat room for each event, so people attending can connect beforehand. The ability to create multiple chat rooms allows my members to talk in real-time, forming connections and friendships that are hard to find elsewhere. Sure, you can have a Facebook group with chats, but now all our communication is in one place. I also love that admins have an announcement bar, so anytime I need to share important information, people get notified via email and in the app, which is amazing. The fact that this app is free, functional, and easy to use is incredible. It also adds a level of professionalism to the club, showing that we’re legit and making communication so much easier. I’m so happy I found this app—I’ve been able to grow my community here, and I really have nothing negative to say. Plus, the support for leaders to improve and troubleshoot within groups is a great feature. You just can’t find a community like this anywhere else.

I became part of a beach volleyball community about 2 years ago and they were using Heylo. As a group member, the app made it easy to connect with people and join and create events, in our case mostly pick-up games.The community grew and started organizing tournaments with +120 players and 100% organized through Heylo. The community also started offering clinics to improve our skill in the game and they are running smoothly, one week after another, with +70 people showing up. Heylo makes managing these events easy.So if you are managing a community or part of one, I'd strongly recommend you to give Heylo a try!

I’ve had the app for over 6 months and I love it! It is amazingly refreshing after putting up with over 10 years the always buggy App (and website) and often poor support of Meetup to use something that works so smoothly. I’ve seen Heylo expand and continue to grow and improve their platform on the app and web. Sometimes there are bugs, but Heylo is great at responding promptly and fixing things right away. I’m not a fan of the way they changed giving emoticon notes on comments work, but that’s the only upgrade I haven’t liked and it’s minor.
