I wish I could give it less than one star. This app has no help page and no way to contact anyone about the service. I figured it would be simple enough, and I only wanted to try it one time. I started the free trial and I submitted one picture. It said it would take 4 days to complete, and gave the option to get it within 12 hours if you buy two more coins. I tried and it didn’t seem to work because the status of my order never changed, so I thought it might be a glitch. I tried one more time before giving up. It never worked. I never got my picture, and 3 days later I was charged the monthly membership fee because the trial expired. (you get nothing with the trial, you still have to buy things separately and it has zero features that would make you want to purchase a premium membership) I was surprised to see the two additional charges from when I tried to expedite the process because I never got to actually use the service. When I canceled it in my settings, it said I would still have access to the membership until May 16th. Even though it was a bad experience, I figured if I can’t get my money back at least I can use it for a while. No. I went to the app to check the status of my picture and it still wasn’t done. It also takes me to a page to sign up for a membership when I try to import a photo just to see what would happen. So the membership does not continue if you forget to cancel the free trial. Not worth it all, try a different one.

I read an online review of the best photo “cartooning” apps and chose this one from the list. I wanted to give my husband a cartoon drawing of each of our kids as a birthday gift. I uploaded three pics and paid for the coins, and weirdly each pic was not the same amt of coins though there was no explanation or breakdown of why. I then noticed the turnaround time was anticipated as being many days so I bought and used additional coins for the faster turnaround time of 12hrs. That was almost two weeks ago and I’ve received zero communication from the app, zero cartoon pics of my kids, and a weekly bill for being a “member” of this stupid fraudulent app. Like other reviewers posted, there’s absolutely no email or phone numbers to contact so my only choice was to cancel my “membership” (member of what IDK) and then I hit the button to cancel each of the pic requests. I’m assuming I’ll never see my money again, and at this point I’ve already invested over $50 in this stupid thing so hopefully my post, along with others, will keep others from losing money to this sham of an app.

Thankfully, I cancelled the subscription almost immediately after I downloaded it. Also, I didn’t get anything asking me to buy “coins” or paying more than the original fee for the picture (which they never delivered). I did try to cancel the picture before the clock ran out, and the cancel button was there, but it didn’t cancel although the count-down clock disappeared…then the “status of my artwork” remained “submitted.” I don’t know how you can have an app like this for 2 years when people are writing negative reviews right and left and all of us are saying the same thing. It’s pretty shameful of Apple to let it stay in the store and let people keep being charged for it.Update: Apple gave me a refund. I opened a case and a few days later they agreed to refund it and about a week later the money was deposited back to my original payment method (apple wallet). I think I just wrote that I cancelled the purchase immediately and they never provided the in-app purchase I made. That seemed to do the trick. Good luck to everyone in their apple refund ventures. This app is a joke - it’s horrible - and if there was a way to report it, I would.

This is an absolute scam! How can apple still offer this on the App Store???? it seriously needs to be removed! You pay for the “free” 3 day trial, then after that it is $9.99. Well that trial gets you nothing…you have to pay an additional $9.99 for an “artist” to render your photo into a cartoon which takes LONGER than the free trail (they say about 5 days). Brilliantly scammy right there. Day 3, while you’re waiting for your art to come in, you’re charged the monthly membership. Then of course…NO ART WAS EVER MADE FOR ME AND IM OUT $20 AND HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT!!! Maybe it used to be legit (it’s still 4 stars average…how???!). But now nobody is at the helm. It’s just collecting cash and giving nothing in return.
