KnownSingles is a dating app that allows singles to find other singles either by using a MatchMaker, which is the safest method, or by simply searching for other singles on the platform.
[ What is a KnownSingle? ]
When multiple Members are linked to a MatchMaker, those members are KnownSingles because the MatchMaker knows them, and since the Members are linked to the MatchMaker, they can contact the mutual MatchMaker and validate anything related to the other Members who are also linked to the MatchMaker before going on a date. When KnownSingles decides to go on a date with other KnownSingles, it is the safest dating option on the app because they share a common MatchMaker.
[ Know who you date ]
One of the most frustrating issues that users of dating apps complain about is the fact that people misrepresent themselves on dating apps. Sometimes the misrepresentation starts with their profile pictures being pictures of someone other than themselves. Other times, the pictures are fine, but the information the person shared in their profile is not truthful. When singles utilize a MatchMaker in the app, it allows them to contact the MatchMaker and verify information about members before going on a date.
[ Two account types ]
There are two types of accounts on KnownSingles
MatchMaker:
These accounts are free and used to link to members they know and also to suggest matches to members they know. It is important that MatchMakers do not accept link requests from members they do not know, as other members are counting on them to validate information about members they know and are linked to. MatchMakers do not have access to all the information on Members' profiles. However, since matchmakers know the members they are linked to, they should already know a lot of information about the members linked to them.
Member:
These accounts have a small subscription fee that can be paid either monthly or annually. Members are single users looking for relationships with other single users.
[ Dating without the use of a MatchMaker ]
Members are free to search for other Members without using a MatchMaker. However, going on a date without using a MatchMaker is no different than any other dating app, and there is a risk of the Member misrepresenting themselves.
